Wade & Silverstein Wins Jury Trial Defense Verdict (Santa Clara, CA) September 2, 2011 - Wade Litigation (Santa Clara, CA) September 2, 2011 - Wade & Silverstein Law Corporation won yet another jury trial today on behalf of one of its clients. The latest victory involved a case in which its client, a former CEO of a technology company had been sued for over ten (10) million dollars. After a one week trial, the jury returned a defense verdict in favor of the firm's client. The firm's client was An Chang Deng. He had been sued for fraud, breach of his fiduciary duty and other torts. When Deng was initially sued, he retained a different law firm to defend him. However, after he became unhappy with the representation provided by the other firm, he contacted Amiel L. Wade of Wade & Silverstein. When Wade took the case, he stated explicitly that the allegations were unfounded and that he would use his best efforts to prove Deng's innocence. Prior to the trial, Wade successfully filed a motion for summary judgment and was able to get some of the causes of actions dismissed. When the trial began, Wade gave a blistering opening statement and reiterated to the jury that allegations were unfounded. Even though the trial lasted one week, the jury took just a little over one hour to reach its decision on behalf of the firm's client. When asked how he felt about the judgment, Wade stated: "I'm happy for my client. Finally he has been vindicated. The allegations have been horrible. The jury's verdict shows that our civil justice system is alive and kicking."
