This allows the client to gain the benefit of having some of their work performed at paralegal rates. Many other firms, overbill clients by stating that they spent more time performing services than they really have done. Moreover, many firms are rigid and refuse to adjust an invoice if a client raises a legitimate concern. The attorneys at some of these firms inflate their time so that they can show their superiors that they are performing services. This results in many clients being taken advantage of.
