Wade renews commitment to Serve as Judge Pro Tem January 3, 2004 – Wade Law Group
(San Jose, CA) January 3, 2004 -Wade & Silverstein announced today that its President, Amiel L. Wade has accepted another invitation to serve as a judge pro tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court. The acceptance means that Wade will serve as a judge pro tem from time to time during the 2004 year. He also served as a judge pro tem during 2003. As a judge pro tem, Wade will be brought in temporarily to serve as a judge with the consent of the litigating parties. Many courts use pro tem judges because there are too many cases for the regular judges to handle. Although every party has the right to have his or her case heard by a judge, judges pro tem are often practitioners in the field in which they are asked to hear cases and have as much, if not more, knowledge than a regular judge. ” I really enjoy serving as a judge pro tem”, noted Wade, “it really helps me keep my objectivity.” Wade & Silverstein is a law firm that offers both transactional and litigation services to both individuals and businesses. The firm’s founders are experienced business and trial attorneys who have handled several high profile cases, including one which resulted in a winning jury verdict of over 11 million dollars last year. Its core practice areas are corporate and business, business litigation and personal injury litigation. Its clients include accident and other personal injury victims, as well as companies in the fields of electronics, software development, Internet and electronic commerce, marketing communications, design engineering, trade associations and others.
The firm has several offices in California, including, but not limited to, San Francisco and Oakland, California (as San Francisco and Oakland attorneys).
