Shakira Johnson is a civil litigation attorney with more than 12 years of experience representing individuals, businesses, public entities, and insurance carriers in complex civil disputes. She takes a practical and strategic approach to litigation, working closely with clients to understand their objectives, assess risk, and develop effective strategies for each matter.
Her practice includes real estate, business and commercial disputes, employment matters, personal injury, and general civil litigation. Shakira has handled matters in both state and federal courts and has extensive experience throughout all phases of litigation, from discovery, depositions, and law and motion through mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings, including bench trials. Her experience includes representing clients in disputes involving contracts, real property, employment relationships, insurance claims, and other complex civil matters.
Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, as well as insurance carriers, public entities, businesses, and individuals, Shakira brings a broad perspective to complex civil disputes. Her experience allows her to evaluate cases from multiple perspectives, anticipate potential challenges, and develop practical strategies aligned with each client’s objectives. Shakira earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her undergraduate degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is admitted to practice in the State of California and the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of the United States District Court for the District of California.
