(Los Angeles, CA) — July 6, 2026 — Attorney Victor A. Bullock of Wade Litigation secured another significant victory after a California court agreed to set aside a default judgment.
Before retaining Wade Litigation, the Defendant in the lawsuit had a default judgment entered against him for failing to respond to an eviction action. However, after being retained, Bullock believed that the judgment was unjust because Wade Litigation’s client had not been properly served. Bullock claimed that the process server’s proof of service contained inconsistent dates, missing information, and procedural defects that undermined the credibility of the claimed service.
In response to Bullock’s legal assertions and contentions, the court held an evidentiary hearing. During the hearing, Bullock aggressively presented evidence and witness testimony challenging the validity of the service documents and the circumstances surrounding the alleged service.
After the hearing, the court agreed with Bullock and ruled that the process server’s sworn statements could not be relied upon and that proper service had not been established. As a result, the default judgment previously entered against Wade Litigation’s client was vacated.
When asked about the result, Bullock stated: “This decision reinforces the fundamental principle that no one should lose their rights without lawful notice.”
