Bryan Barnet Miller

Senior Trial Attorney

Bryan has over 26 years of litigation experience on both the plaintiff and defense sides, work that imbues him with a strong ability to strategize in a manner that best serves his clients.

He was a named equity partner in the civil rights firm of Litt, Estuar, Harrison, Miller & Kitson, LLP, where he practiced high-impact, class-action litigation. He worked as counsel, co-counsel, trial counsel, and co-trial counsel.
While at Wotman, Kors & Cloutier, LLP, Mr. Miller practiced plaintiff’s sexual-orientation discrimination law and civil rights law, both on an individual and class-action basis. Additionally, Mr. Miller mediated civil rights cases under § 1983 (the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1871) with outstanding results.

Serving as Of Counsel at Norton & Melnik, APC, he litigated insurance defense cases in personal injury fraud, products liability/construction, and intentional torts while practicing all forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He settled multiple insurance defense cases for nuisance value, protecting his clients from exposure to significant damages as well as potentially large fees and costs, and he prosecuted highly complex cases under the Davis-Stirling Act.

Bryan also teaches needs-based facilitative mediation to undergraduates at Loyola Marymount University, served as a past Program Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar, International Law Section, and is currently a member of the International Law Section of the California State Bar.

Bryan’s interests in protecting the legal rights and privileges of others stems in part from living the first 18 years of his life in South Africa under the Apartheid regime. His education and experience reflect his values and commitment to equality under the law.
